In need of a COVID-19 test in Johnson County? The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment offers free at-home rapid (antigen) COVID-19 tests from its Olathe office, while supplies last.

One test will be provided for every member of your household. In addition to the rapid tests, free PCR saliva tests will be available upon request, while supplies last. No appointment or photo identification is needed, and proof of residency is not required.

Test kit distribution is part of our overall strategy to control the spread of COVID-19 in Johnson County. Testing is recommended if you’ve been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

You can pick up your free at-home test kits at JCDHE’s Olathe office, 11875 S. Sunset Drive. The kits are available via drive-thru only on the south side of the building.

The drive-thru is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is needed. Please wait inside your vehicle for a JCDHE staff member to bring you a test.
